Snapchat Sunglasses

Snapchat made its Sunglassess available across Europe today, almost seven months after the company debuted them in the US.

Sunglasses that let you capture more than just rays.

Sunglasses are a one-size-fits-all pair that can record 10 seconds of video at a time and sync wirelessly with the mobile Snapchat app.

Snapchat glassesThe camera-equipped sunglasses cost £129.99 / €149.99 and can be bought physically from specially-placed vending machines known as "Snapbots", or purchased online.

The Spectacles, which come in a number of colours, are the first hardware product to be launched by Snap Inc, Snapchat's parent company.

They come in a protective case that doubles as a charging station and can fully recharge the glasses four times.

A camera lens sits in the top right of the glasses, and the top left houses a light that turns on when it is recording. The glasses were released in the US last year, and created a frenzy, with the Snapbots appearing at unusual places around the country.

The vending machines dispense the glass in either Black, Coral or Teal, and allow customers to try them on virtually using a built-in augmented reality display. A case and charging cable are included.
